Training

Edinburgh City Men’s Lacrosse Club not only boasts some of Scotland’s longest playing veterans and newest talent, but is a home from home for many players from outside of Scotland who are visiting the capital on short and long term stays and who wish to keep up their Lacrosse habit. Subsequently the club benefits from the input of very experienced international and professional players. We regularly have guest coaches who range from Professional American and Canadian players, to International coaches and captains.

The goal of the Edinburgh City Lacrosse Team is to provide an environment that allows beginners through to veterans, to not only further their learning of the sport, but to apply the principles of teamwork, discipline, dedication, and sportsmanship to the team and to life.

Through a strong core of experienced and dedicated team members and our coaches support, we endeavour to facilitate the development of strength and character in all of our members. We support our members fitness and skill goals and encourage identification of weaknesses that can be improved upon as well as strengthening and honing those strong existing skills our players possess.

Participation in our club is open to any males who can regularly attend training and matches. For new players and those wishing to try out the sport, the team will initially provide kit, you are then encouraged to purchase your own. When you join the team, there is a subscription fee that covers pitch hire, insurance, membership of Lacrosse Scotland etc.
