This weekend Edinburgh City took part in the McRobert Tournament with Aberdeen City and Glasgow Uni. Edinburgh put in a dominant performance wining the plate despite missing a few players due to injury and other commitments.
Edinburgh’s first game was against Glasgow Uni who after being defeated last week were out for some vengeance. The first quarter was very even with Edinburgh managing to pull ahead slightly to gain a 3 – 2 lead. The rest of the game was not so evenly matched goals for Marty Crawford, Nick Duncan-Price, Lee McCrohan, Bret Retalick, Greg Scott, Scott Swan, Marc Watson and even a long pole goal for Andy O’Donnell. Edinburgh ended the game 15 – 2 after shutting out Glasgow Uni for the final three quarters.
Edinburgh’s second game was against the Granite City Gladiators. The result of this game was also counted towards the Scottish League results. The unfortunate Gladiators suffered car trouble on the trip down from Aberdeen which caused the face off to be delayed. The full match report was published earlier.
Unfortunately due time constraints and car trouble the Aberdeen City – Glasgow Uni game was cancelled and ruled a draw.
